In this course you will learn the all about the Aurora. We’ll start with the science behind the sun and how it generates the solar wind, and then look at how this space weather interacts with Earth’s magnetic field to produce our stunning polar light shows. We’ll also have a look at how the solar wind can effect electronic equipment and communications. And most importantly you’ll discover how you can spot the Aurora yourself, even from more Southerly latitudes such as the UK.
